Briarwood Home Healthcare operates within all the policies and procedures directed by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS). The following is a link to the CMS website and what should be expected when receiving home health services under the Medicare PPS system.
Services:
Skilled Home Care, Staffing Services, No Fault Auto Clients (PIP), Worker’s Compensation Clients, Long Term Care Clients, and Private Pay Clients
Skilled Home Care includes:
When a skilled need is necessary (Wound Care, Infusion Services, Patient Teaching, Physical and Occupational Therapy) a Briarwood Home Healthcare nurse will come to your home to evaluate, provide medical intervention, teach and train you or your family member on disease process, and also manage other disciplines including therapies, (PT/OT/ST) social work, and aides. This service is all documented and performed under the guidance of your Primary Care Physician.
Staffing Services:
Our team of Customer Service Representatives (CSR) are waiting for your call. We staff school nurses and medical aides to school districts all over Oakland and Wayne County. Our nurses and aides work throughout the school day with medically fragile students to offer them the ability to attend school regularly in a safe and nurturing environment for all students. We have developed multiple programs including Medication Management, Seizure Programs, and Food Allergy Management. These programs are available to schools, businesses, or municipal agencies that are interested in protecting and training children and employees.
No Fault Auto/Worker’s Compensation:
If you are in an accident or you are injured on the job our team of nurses, therapists, and aides will provide excellent support to either get you back working or help you increase or maintain your independence in the comfort of your own residence. Our team will work with your insurance company, your case manager, and or your attorney to maximize your ability to live a full and productive life after your accident.
Private Pay:
Private pay clients are very important to our agency. Our CSR team strives to match the correct aide or nurse with each individual client. Our aides and nurses have at least 1 year of experience in a home health or facility setting. All of our nurses and aides are bonded and insured and must complete a full national and statewide criminal background check and complete a pre-employment 6 panel drug test. All of our Private Duty clients receive an initial evaluation from either one of our CSRs or from a nurse supervisor. At the time of the evaluation our team will work to develop a patient centered plan with the client and their family that will best help the patient maintain their independence and reach any goals they are striving for.

“I talked with you this morning about two of your caregivers, Danielle the nurse and Sheetal the physical therapist. Again I wanted to let you know what a fine job they both did after my wife's knee replacement surgery. My wife and I believe they are very competent, caring, and responsible. ”
